I've been birding for more than 30 years but have a wide interest in the natural world, most recently focusing on photography and sound recording. I grew up in Ayrshire  in south-west Scotland (SOC County Recorder since 2007 & Ayrshire Bird Report Editor 2004-2012) but currently live in London/Essex. Most of my photography is done in the city, birding at Rainham Marshes, with trips abroad still mainly for birding/listing.
